Our Portsea Collection is made with up to 35 plastic bottles for each cushion, preventing them from ending up in landfill or oceans. The weaving process involves spinning the PET plastic into a finely spun yarn giving it the touch and feel of natural plush cotton with the durability of a synthetic material!

These pieces are handwoven using recycled polyester, known as polyethylene terephthalate, or PET. This soft, sustainable fiber mimics the look and feel of wool but offers superior durability and easy maintenance, making your rug mildew-resistant. The process involves sorting, washing, and melting recycled plastic that would otherwise end up in landfill.
